    I'd be really surprised at that - not because I don't think that there are players out there like that, but because kicking off about something like that would be a red flag visible from space! I think it's pretty well-known that attitude is a major part of our criteria - I'd be shocked if it was him who rejected us rather than the other way round. Assuming the story is true, of course.

    That one must have been close, I saw him in the crowd at a pre-season friendly at Guiseley. Thinking about it maybe that's why it didn't happen.

    Andre Gray, Isaac Success, Stipe Perica: It’s a distinct possibility that all three strikers will have left the club in some way (loan or permanent) by the end of the summer transfer window.

    Perica has been attracting interest from Barnsley, who have lined him up as a potential replacement for Daryl Dike, who has returned to Major League Soccer’s Orlando City after his half-season on loan. US international Dike has been attracting interest from many English clubs after nine goals in 19 Championship appearances, and is on Watford’s radar. Barnsley have made an offer for Perica understood to be in the region of £1.5 million, and negotiations are continuing.

    Agree with chronicle in that if Mowatt signs a new deal then we’d probably only need a left wingback and another forward adding to the squad.

    Sounds like Styles will be playing centre midfield next season so gives us 4 CM along with Kane, Palmer & Mowatt if he signs.

    I bet in half of those games he didn’t even get 10 minutes though. As always, judge them from what you see of them in a reds shirt (if he does indeed sign of course).
