Reports have speculated that a vaccine passport wouldn't be mandatory and it would be up to individual businesses if they want to check your status or not before letting you in. Hopefully if the government confirm down the line that the speculation is true, our own Football club is quick to come out and say nobody at the turnstiles will have to prove they have had a test or been vaccinated.

If I got a pound for everytime someone says 'safe'

Covid has survival rate of 99%+

Double jab gives protection of 90+%

If thats not safe enough, you can always lock yourself up.

So we are delaying "just" another four weeks because of this.

While its obvious the vaccines are doing some heavy lifting for most people who are several weeks after their second injection, the suggestions are the Delta variant reduce effectiveness to around 81%, not 90%+.

There are still people who don't have immunity despite having both vaccinations, and those people will judge everything on their respective merits.

Currently away for a few days so going into loads of different hospitality venue's. My current take on masks is its irrelevant if they make a difference from scientific theory point of view. Because the reality is the way people are wearing them a behaving while wearing means they are a total waste of time.

The fact that he’s passing off a paper from June 2020 as current does undermine his tweet somewhat.

Boris has his welcoming committee ready for when he's back from Brussels later. More and more people have had enough now of his nonsense.

That's not a very wide area at all, its literally the width of a standard pavement and looks to be only one lane of traffic as you can see buses on the other side. 200 maybe? A few more if they've funnelled them around the corner. It's hardly the realms of the brexit protests.

As I have said before there will never be absolutely zero deaths even if we were in permanent lockdown.

I know people always use the flu as an example but it really is just accepted that 20-30k die a year in Britain

I was merely correcting you as the statistics you used were misleading and you didn't account for the groups I mentioned who naturally have a lower immune response.

The table service rule in pubs is absurd, you can,t stand 2 metres apart with a mask at the bar but you can pop down to asda and queue 2 feet apart and pretty much follow no restrictions whatsoever, hospitality has been a scapegoat since this lot started and need to be given a break, when Boris comes on later he needs to set the next date in stone and commit to sticking with it no matter what, but no doubt we will be looking at the data in 4 weeks then kicking the can down the road a bit further...

You tell me, how many are alleged to be there? That shot in front of downing street was likely only a few hundred. I don't know if they allow people on the green anymore, but if they are there, you might be getting high hundreds, low thousands.

I'd love to know the percentage of those protesting today that voted for these ********.

There’s a massive correlation between those that voted for Brexit and those that think temporary restrictions impede their rights and compare it to nazi Germany, so I’d say a high percentage.

I quite like the table service - had a right day out in Sheffield on Saturday at a couple of pubs, nice staff constantly bringing me nice ale

Table service is just better in every way. For all concerned.

Can’t believe folk are arguing against it.

I have to say, i,ve been in a couple of clubs of late and the lasses doing the waitressing have been absolutely superb, personally i like to go for a beer when i,m ready, i just think its one of those petty little rules that winds people up because it doesn,t seem to apply in other areas...
