As with all things it’s a term that sets off with folk with good intentions and then gets exaggerated by others. I like to think I was brought up properly with a good moral compass, and with good life values , my mum was certainly a god fearing person who would help anybody as would my dad ( well apart from the god bit). Maybe I have got a bit narky with age it is however a fact that some people do seem to go out of their way to be offended and look for perceived insults that were never intended.

Yeah I consider cancelling free speech, getting books banned from stores, people banned/fired from things, having a "think exactly 100% like me or you're wrong and deserve to be shunned and punished" attitude kinda fascist. Trying to ban anyone who doesn't think like you from having a platform is fascist. A white nationalist is one thing but they protest anyone on the right from speaking regardless of their race, sex or religion. Killing and attacking people is kinda wrong too no? No that’s what people are saying as a rallying call to their bigotry that woke means anti everything . Woke means just as Kev describes and is being used for rabble rousing . Woke is a banner that the right are putting anyone against the values you hold just as they have done with antifa To try to dishonour anyone who confronts their bigotry, antifa means anti fascist so to be against it is to be fascist but people don’t understand that and their isn’t an organisation specifically called antifa , if you’re anti fascist doesn’t mean you embrace anything left wing .
There is also a big anti Black agenda much larger than your so called anti white which I’ve yet to encounter . Don’t see news of many whites being lynched for the colour of their skin or neither with swasticas declaring their intent . People usually see what they want to or make excuses instead of seeing what is actually happening .

Nobody is saying that their isn’t a few people stirring up the race issue on both sides . But to argue against a problem that is seriously in our faces and hit back with insults against a movement invented such as Antifa is rabble rousing and an excuse to prevent the truth . The OP has given a definition. This is in response to a post yesterday where a particular poster, complained about what he called, a 'woke' football studio panel.
Woke is a demeaning phrase from the hard right to characterise anyone without Fascist principles. There isn’t any such movement as their isn’t an Antifa it’s just to rabble rouse and excuse why they have bigotry and racist views and to try and normalise it .
In the US it's mostly mainstream left except Fox news which is just as bad but in the opposite direction. I say mainstream left but not actual left. Some do but most don't like actual leftists like Bernie but will jam Biden and Harris down your throat and hate everything Trump does. @JLWBigLil HUGE difference considering I'm half British, have lived there and am not really talking about policy. Also "woke" applies here too.. Unlike US gun laws.
