Simon McCoy had a right moan today about the fake names - proper Partridge stuff.

Cleo Torez snuck in (so to speak) this afternoon, but Tess Tegel and Scott Chegg sadly did not.

Just watched Andrew Neil on GB News interviewing our Chancellor.

Tell me who else could do a better job in pinning down a politician?

I like watching telly like that.

(by the way, the adverts are just like on normal telly so far. I expected from the outcry on here that we'd be looking at all white dominated Fairy Liquid adverts from 1964, but not a bit of it. )

    Studios are a bit naff.

Trouble is people like the prime minister avoid the Andrew Neil’s when scrutiny counts or hide in fridges etc .
So what’s the point of them ?
Better to hide in a fridge and get to prime minister than be open and honest or at least seem to be .
Want to be PM hide in aFridge want to be leader of the opposition encourage scrutiny .
Mid term squirms from MPs or Government ministers mean nothing imo as was proved in the election .

So would you prefer our politicians not to be scrutinised?

People 'like" the PM "avoid" scrutiny?

Perhaps you mean Boris. Just Boris.

The point is that loads of posters (a select unrepresentative band as far as the country is concerned I accept) on here WANT to hear what these mediocrities have to say.

Rishi is squirmy. Probably the best of a desperately hopeless bunch, Tory wise..

All politicians are complete crap at the moment.

Andrew Neil grilled Sunak far better than anyone else I have seen doing so for a very long time. Martin Lewis for his money show was probably the last good interview someone gave him.

Well you previously asked what the point was in Andrew Neil doing interviews.

Now we know you'd like to watch them.

It's 626 on Virgin. But I've had it on for an hour while I've been on here and it's fookin terrible.

I did say that mid term interviews were pointless imo ,the public on evidence of the last election proved that .
If these interviews were meaningful Boris wouldn’t be in number ten now .
And when scrutiny should be sacrosanct at election times the leaders and lots of cabinet members choose their easy interviews and Andrew Neil isn’t on the Tory’s list both Boris’s cabinet and many of Cameron’s .
When a minister can tell a committee that there was no PPI shortage and is still in his job maybe that’s one of the reasons I’m disillusioned with politics and those that’s supposed to hold them accountable , maybe I’ll have a change of heart if someone actually tells a truth at some point but I’ll not hold my breath .

Mmm.... well picking the bones out of that, at least we agree upon our disillusionment with politics.

None of them are worthy of a vote at the moment.

Well I agree to a point but I think there’s one lot less deserving of a vote than anotgetTbh.

I thought the idea of freedom of choice was that you are free to decide not to watch or pay for stuff if you didnt want to
Irony overload of a government Minister putting pressure on those he accused of succumbing to pressure.
