I think there was a reason why he told Levy he wanted his club future sorted before the Euros , England picking up the tab on that one at the moment. Anyone see Lineker interview Klinnsmann for the Tottenham job after the Croatia match?:D

Reason why Pep doesn't start him regularly, he plays well 1 in 4. He's easily forgettable at the minute, he had a great game against Croatia on the front foot throughout. Tonight was classic Sterling, run into space at speed and then check back.
He's more frustrating to watch than Martin Bullock.

No can only imagine Jurgen didn't mix his words, but in a really charming and lovely way. Love that bloke oozes class, even though he was a cheat before coming to English football.

Basically Klinsmann has told Levy to ring him, but he hasn’t :p

Thought he played well tonight Sterling. Tried to set up Foden 3 or 4 times when he should have done better such as the miss he should have scored with.

Everything from England was so laboured and telegraphed. Fair play to Scotland. They were better than us.

Not sure we are courageous enough. Ever since Gareth - who I like - took charge, he’s slowly but surely gone from vibrant and brave, to lethargic and cautious. It’s ever thus with England managers. The majority bottle it and play safe. It’s why we don’t win owt.

We always end up finding at least one average defensive midfielder and have them in the team over a top class attacking midfielder. Grealish has to start, and centrally. Bin off one of Phillips, Rice or Mount. And stop dropping Trippier, our best full back.

The centre halves and keeper were spot on, and I felt Foden was the one bright spark further up. Other than that, it was a tough watch and exactly why I prefer to watch Barnsley’s high energy, high press football, even if it can get scrappy. The tedious side to side, laborious football makes me fall to sleep.

Hope Scotland get a result over Croatia.

Levy seems to ruin Tottenham every chance he gets. He's a weird guy, builds the best stadium I've ever been to but craps all over his manager's and doesn't want to spend cash on the team.
He always seems to want to be the top dog, he'd never have Jurgen anywhere near the club. The fans love him more than Poch and Danny boy wouldn't get any attention.
I actually thing someone like Klinsmann could be tonic for Spurs and Kane might want to stay. He's a good guy, tactically at times he's naive but he'd lift the dressing room.

If Val were to leave, I think he'd settle int Tarn quite well lol!

Sterling was awful tonight. Along with Kane, Mount, RicePhillips (they are as one),Shaw, Mings,James and Southgate who should be replaced without further ado.

A truly shameful, rank, woeful and embarrassing performance against a side Barnsley would beat.

It worked for the special Barca era and the Spanish one too but it isn’t for me. Watching defensive midfielders pass it back to the centre backs to pass it to the full backs to pass it to the defensive mids again to repeat all over is so boring in my opinion.

Bang on the money. I think Levy is running the club as a profitable venture. Nothing wrong with that, other than he is up against teams such as Chelsea and Man City who’s owners are happy to throw money at the team to get results and championships on the pitch. Had they gone through with the ill fated ESL , I think Spurs would have become the whipping boys of the competition, all set against the sight of Tottenhams board filling their coffers and counting the cash.

Glad he brought Grealish on just to stop Lee Dixon whining on abart him shame he did next to **** all but go to ground.

Wing backs dont yer just love it when there is a chance to put in a cross and they turn and play the ball backwards, but then we are pretty sh ite at putting in crosses.

Big improvement needed for knockout stages.

Turned up to the Euros not knowing our best system, seemingly only having about 5 players you could say were definitely starting & without any team chemistry as many of the squad are new to international football in the last year or two.

On top of that we’ve spent the friendlies resting the City, Chelsea & United players & played standby players & fringe players instead.

Yet there were people who genuinely had us down as favourites or one of them.

Maybe I’m talking ******** but whenever I look at successful teams they tend to have a fairly settled side & system. You look at France & the only question mark was the 3rd central midfielder, with us both full backs were up in the air, the centre alongside Stones was up in the air, who plays with Rice & Mount was up in the air, no one knew who the wide forwards would be. It’s madness.

Instead of questioning it we just get nonsense about Jack Grealish from most fans instead of looking at the real issues.

Graham Souness was right, the pundits were getting carried away about our win against Croatia. Imo, given the fact we had really easy friendlies pre tournament, we should have started them at least with the team Gareth wanted for the Euros. Yes players had been in European finals but they could have been subbed off.
