I think you’re right about that, but I seem to remember Alladyce having a plan B when things weren’t going well. I saw little evidence of that with VI when we found out tactically.
Would agree on that front. Didn’t try anything different - he also stopped doing things that got him success too. Stopped rotating the front men as much didn’t use all his subs anymore. More I think about this the better for all concerned. It’s just losing the ceo and captain at the same time during an integral period of the season that makes it seem/feel worse.
Probably totally hypothetical, but I wonder how people would feel if the Baggies job fell through? Would fans continue backing him, or would he have lost support from a section of fans, as soon as he went for talks?
It would depend on what reasoning was given for it falling through. You would assume that the stage it is at, it falling through would be down to VI, rather than WBA, so I'd think most would back him. Unlikely to happen though, they probably had terms agreed with him before they agreed to pay the compensation
Surely still back him, I know I would. He has a release clause in his contract, if a club like brom pay it then they are allowed to speak to him. He or any manager would be silly not to at least talk to this other club to see what they are offering especially when its a club just coming down from prem.
I think it will apply less to managers than to young players. Most managers that we look at will have had a reasonable track record behind them.
I don't think Stendel, Struber or Ismael would've qualified for a visa automatically under current rules.
Are the rules published anywhere. I would have thought managing a top flight team overseas that has played in the last 16 of the Europa league would have been enough, but maybe I'm wrong?
Found this, I know it’s Mail…… https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www....es-threaten-change-face-English-football.html
You can't really blame fans for having that view either, tbf. First Club to meet the compo clause and he's off. The next manager will be exactly the same as well. We just have to accept it. However it works both ways. Whoever the next manager is, if he underperforms he goes.
