A number of people on here will be delighted if the next head coach goes back to Struber's tippy tappy style with **** up after **** up and at the back!
If it's a release clause then they have to pay up front no? You have to pay the full amount to then activate the clause to then speak to the player/manager On footy manager that's how it always works (I know it's a game but it's very accurate towards real life in many ways)
Yeah, I'm quite pragmatic when it come to departures but this one just rankles a little bit, might be because I never got to see us play under him.
So far it is not much worse than summer 2020. Ludewig-Dike Struber-Ismael Brown- Mowatt What happens next will define this summer
Anytime you remove/lose 3 key people all at once, you've a difficult job to stand still or improve in the short term. I'd say the 3 examples (though not directly comparable) are much bigger losses this time than last. Theres also the sentiment of those remaining. Are they as invested, or do they question their position too?
All the good ones rankle but at least we got some success for the club . Tbh I’m hoping our next manager is on everyone’s list throughout next season to replace their managers .
Bit of a strange feeling with this one really. While he gave us one of our best ever league finishes im a bit 'meh' about him leaving. Dont know if its because ive just become hardened to the seemingly constant departures but rather than being upset i just think if he doesnt want to be here then fvck him, next
The tippy tappy style just invites pressure on your own players its awful to watch and players like mads who aren't great on the ball were hung out to dry. Trying to pass the ball from defence to midfield into attack with little width when we didn't have the players to do it. When we were winning with val a number of pundits commented on our style, managers even sam morsey tweeted about our style after the boro game. Guaranteed if val plays the same style at West brom and wins the league no fuss will be made because its not little old barnsley upsetting the odds.
Took teams a while but they eventually worked us out and he didn't appear to have an answer that worked as well. Time will tell whether that was because he had shortcomings as a coach or the players can only play one way successfully. I won't miss the style of football he played but he was successful during a strange season and for that I'm thankful. But as he's gone to a rival I hope he stinks the place down next season.
It may be your hope that he's there for at least 4 years Mr Xu Ke but if he's successful he definitely won't be as he'll move to the next rung of the ladder. You may be higher up the food chain than BFC but nevertheless WBA are a long way off the top.....
Thanks for the memories, Valerian. At a time of national lockdown, when we all needed a bit of a lift and a distraction, you managed our club to heights we never expected, gave us a hell of a season, and for a short time allowed us to dream of what might have been. Good luck in your new job and best wishes for the future.
