Good luck, thanks and all that to big Val, but each of their last 3 appointed managers have been better than the last. I know it can't last forever, but I can't help but get a twinge of excitement about what comes next. We have a strong exciting, young squad even if we lose Mowatt. There'll surely be plenty of folks who'd love to try and take this squad to the next level.
Who ever it is ,it will be always there number 1 target theve chased before any off the previous coach s
Thing is, the better we do with each successive manager means that those who previously saw us as an unattractive proposition may now be interested. So we could well be moving back up the list to our number 1 target...
Anyone been researching the Austrian league or the German youth leagues to see which teams play with a high tempo press?
I'm a little underwhelmed with it all to be honest. We'll be in exactly the same position next year anyway - the new bloke will either be: - Brilliant so he'll get snapped up when his release clause is met Or - terrible so we'll sack him after a disagreement over recruitment. Then back to square one in June 2022.
I reckon we will have an appointment by the end of next week. I suspect when Val joined we already had a pre prepared short list and they will have known a while Val would likely be gone so will be well on the way to a replacement.
Love the optimism but given our history I’ll just be happy to have someone in the door by the beginning of August.
I’ve just looked at the list on sky bet it’s interesting that the current coach of lask is on there thalhammer he took over when val left
