    Jim Iley turned us from a team that had been bumbling along in the depths of the 4th division to having a couple of real gos at promotion and also brought in one of my all time favourite players in Brian Joicey.
    He scored 43 in 93 and was a class above in that league. Happy days. :)

    He can't STILL be on holiday Chris, there's barely anywhere to go! I have noticed that when Kev goes quiet, Matt Hancock becomes far noisier (in every respect). And I can honestly say I've never seen them both in the same room at the same time.

    Admittedly I know nothing about him. But Mainz were bottom on 12 points when he took over, and they ended the season 12th on 39. No side in Bundesliga history had ever had fewer than 7 points at the midway point of the season and survived before them.

    His stock you'd assume at the minute then, is higher than a Championship side.
