But if it hindered your game and held you back so much vals style you wouldn't leave to play under him forest apparently interested sheffield United have been rumoured far closer he won't have to endure val holding his game back? He's still only 26 its not like he will miss his pace when he gets to 30 because that's not his strong point anyway.

    I don't mind West Brom.

Unlike visits to Vermingham or Vulvahampton, I don't feel in danger of losing my life there.

They're just another stepping-stone football club, albeit at a higher level than us.

They're not Sheff Utd, Millwall or Cardiff as far as unpleasantness is concerned.

Like us, they just exist. Unless a billionaire comes along, to purchase eternal glory for one of us, using blood money, that state of affairs will continue for both clubs.

How many promotion winning seasons to the premier league have West Brom had in the last 20 years? I bet they’ve had 4. I’d snap there hands off for that. I bet nearly every Peterborough fan would too. It’s best ignoring Durham. His whole job is to create controversy & get people phoning in. There’s a couple of days off from the Euros so he’s bringing up other topics. That’s all it is.

Clearly it’s money/aspiration related as I don’t think conditions here could be more favourable for him. Captain of the team, respected etc Val spoke very highly of Mowatt during his time here and he still chipped in with goals under his regime and I guess from Alex’s POV he might have faith that Val might get him to the premier league.

Got a soft spot for West Brom. Good club, good stadium, decent history, definite potential for top half premier league within a few seasons with a bit of luck. And definitely in the running for promotion next season.

They're no Manchester United, but I think anybody arguing that they're not a big step up from us for a neutral is deluded or bitter. This isn't Lindsay going to Stoke or Moore to Wigan (or, dare I say it, Murphy to Forest) - it's a lot more like, say, Hourihane to Villa, and for that reason I find it difficult to get too annoyed.

Coincidentally West Brom fans call Wolves fans the Dingles. Dingles was first used by Blackburn fans against Burnley fans before the Midlands fans of Villa, West Brom, Birmingham and Walsall adopted it to describe fans of Wolves. Dee Dars then stole it to use against Barnsley fans so nothing unique about them. There is however only one city whose inhabitants are called dee dars.

I could be mistaken, but I'm sure Preston also call Blackpool it.

If West Brom didn't exist I wouldn't have those incredible memories of Liddell and Marcelle scoring the first two goals of a certain magical season

Fair play to Durham, you only have to look at this thread to see he's good at what he does. Spout nonsense opinion that he likely doesn't even believe himself and get people to bite.

Never had any issues with WBA, although that boing Boing chant where the bounce up and down is a bit embarrassing. Do they still do it??

Or Harry Tufnell in the last minute of extra time in a certain game at Brammalane.

Big Lil is rumoured to have been there. :)
