Will Helik still be here? I expected us to lose 1 or 2 decent contracted players this window once we missed out on promotion. He's certainly one of the possibles.

Sollbauer. Logical choice providing he plays.

I think there will be intrest just hope we break the transfer record for received fee if helik or styles leave if not we've been done.

Sollbauer. We need a leader in the team, we might well lose one or both of Helik or Andersen, and he’s the logical choice to me.

Not a fan of centre forwards as captain so I wouldn’t go for Woodrow.

There is a caveat. If the captaincy and a bit of a pay rise would keep Helik here, then get it done now.

Sollbauer is the natural leader, although not forced to start every game. If he’s still here, it should be Helik.

My guess would be Sollbauer. Assuming Schopp plays a back 4, and Helik is likely to be sold, It'll probably be Sollbauer and Andersen in central defence.

Solbauer given his motivating/ leadership from experience when on the pitch by miles for me (even more so than Mowatt IMHO) Captain is more than just best player.

Are we really resigned to losing Helik? He didn’t get a kick at the Euros, which has reduced the chances of a big club swooping in.

He’s got years left on his contract, so we should be in a strong position to retain his services.

    Sollbauer for me.
Also, I'd have been more concerned about Helik leaving had he started a couple of games in Euros.

Having said that, who knows who has had their heads turned by Val / Alex? But by the same token they may have already bought into what Markus wants to achieve?

    It's never dull.

I think either mads Or helik will go we didn't sign kitching for nothing helik will demand the biggest fee.

Possibly one of the wing backs too and Williams step up its what we do.

I think we’ve all named the top 3 in this thread. I think I’d go slightly towards Woodrow or Helik as they’re more likely to play more minutes (I would assume) and Sollbauer is already a leader without the armband.

I'd suggest Sollbauer, the leader of men and respected by all the players.

If we're going to pursue this approach of selling and recycling players, the best value is to be had from 2-3 years of contract left. If we get to the end of next season and these players haven't extended, we have to accept a reduced fee or they play their contract out and depart for a free with a good signing on bonus.
