Probably not, what with no CEO in place? Which is slightly concerning, we need to replace Mowatt, either with another wing back to free up styles or a like for like replacement.

Let’s hope Mister Conway has something up his sleeve!

We signed a new manager with no CEO in place, I'm sure we can sign a player

Although, I hope we don't just to see folk on twitter implode.

New coach has got to see what we have first. We'll have our targets but why spend additional cash if Schopp identifies a young talent he believes can do the same job. Players like Oduor, Thomas and Moon could cement their places, if we go with a new formation or style of play. We've got plenty of young lads who when they enter pre season need to push on and feel they've got a chance.
The central midfield role isn't a position you can take risks with, so I'm sure they'll be addressing that. However how amazing would it be to develop and promote one of our own.

While I admit a CEO certainly helps, I don’t think the position is imperative to making a signing.

The club will still have a recruitment team who will be identifying targets for the positions identified by the club that need strengthening.

These will then be passed on to a decision maker, which in the CEOs absence I would expect to be a board member likely Cryne or Conway but there could be a head of recruitment who can give the green light with the boards permission.

Businesses lose bosses all the time and someone below simply steps up or someone above gets their hands dirty for abit until the post is filled.

We’re also quite lucky as Ganeye may even help get signings over the line for us where required.

Either way I don’t think a lack of CEO is the reason we haven’t signed anyone.

I think that the board will know who they want and it won't be beyond the wit of Conway etc to get the deals done. Paal? Dempsey? They will know who they want and will be getting on with it now

I think we should be looking at offloading half a dozen or so before signing one or two..

I could add Halme & Frieser to the list, although I suppose they could be useful as back up.

I'd be willing to hold on to Thomas till Jan, he obviously had some issues last season, might be a different player now.

Simoes is too young to write off just yet IMO , there’s a player in there nd hopefully this coach is the one to bring him on .
Adeboyejo offers more than goals which IMO will eventually come so worth at least another 12 months .

I must admit I'd like to see a few leave before anyone is brought in. I'd settle for a midfield replacement for Mowatt. Jury still out on Kane. He looks a tidy footballer but doesn't seem to have the legs to get up and down.

Some additions to the coaching staff I would guess. As for players who knows with Barnsleyfc?

If we don’t sell anyone I’d be happy with a midfielder and a striker (depending on formation).

Simoes is too lightweight for championship football just as Schmidt is.

    Victor's goal return is poor.

If the new coach plays this 4-2-3-1 formation that he is reported to like, he might not have to.

Agree on both.. if folk are happy with forwards not scoring.. then who's going to score our goals. May as well put Helik up front, scores more than Victor..
    Our forwards need to notch.
