Decided to lift all restrictions at once and relying on the public to use their judgement ,

We can never know for sure, time will tell. Obviously hope it’s a success and we can all be as safe as possible. If it goes all tits up you can sure as hell guarantee this Govt will exonerate itself from any blame, and the gullible and apologists will carry on just being gullible and apologists.

Making a song and dance about masks being optional is their way of blaming us if it goes wrong. It’ll be the public who were selfish, and definitely nothing to do with them.

"Decided to lift all restrictions at once"
Erm no he hasn't. They've been slowly being lifted one by one for a few months now. Trying to say they're all being lifted at once is like saying that tonight I'm drinking a case of beer all at once. In reality I drank 23 cans over the course of the last two months and just had the remaining can tonight but using your logic I've drank them all at once.

There was a reason the camera footage of Hancock appeared when it did and that was so Boris could make his little announcement that all the covid rules were going and give the masses enough rope to hang themselves by adding that they maybe should still follow some for a while so that when it goes tits up he can say its all our fault for not being careful enough.

Do you believe that restrictions shouldn't be lifted? How long do you propose we keep them?

I can’t speak for SR, but I think this battle between people who want restrictions to lift vs those who want them to continue is a bit of a faux war. We all ultimately want them to be lifted, it’s dragging everyone’s mental health through the mud. We wouldn’t have had to go through all this though if Johnson and co had been in the slightest bit competent in Q1 2020. They’re the ones we should all be pïssed at.

So how long would you prefer to keep "all restrictions"? If the height of summer with every adult in the UK offers a vaccination isn't the time to then when do you think we should? Autumn so that case numbers rise in time for the NHS's busiest period? Or maybe never?

The thing is that I disagree. Everyone doesn't want them lifted. The OP seems quite clear that he doesn't want them to be lifted. He's actively slagging off the government for lifting them

Seriously? Would it have hurt to at least officially keep masks in some situations, you seen the doctors, nurses and scientists views on what they think will happen?

    For many people. Yes.

I ask again. how long would you prefer to keep "all restrictions"? If the height of summer with every adult in the UK offers a vaccination isn't the time to then when do you think we should? Autumn so that case numbers rise in time for the NHS's busiest period? Or maybe never?

And opinion expressed in the form of a question is still an opinion. Sticking a question mark at the end of something doesn't disguise the fact it's what you think, especially when you use such inflammatory and specific language

Barnsley Covid cases 'double' in one week: https://t.co/RifBs4Pgzl https://t.co/smBH3FuFye
Until headlines like this aren't around some restrictions like mask wearing on public transport in shops etc should still be a legal requirement leaving it to a personal choice just means the selfish, I'm alright jack brigade will be able to put other people at risk because they don't like wearing masks so won't if not required to by law.

Their’s going to be mayhem in some workplaces, and in rush hour public transport.
