My friend who's been shipped off to the colonies told me he has his steak well done. I'm considering if we're still somehow friends, or if I have to end him for the good of humanity.

I've just said it. I rarely eat beef, apart from the occasional burger.

I haven't eaten red meat for over 25 years now. I can honestly say I haven't missed it either

Trim it’s horns. Wipe its arse. And slap it with a hot pan

    So, rare.

I like mine well done. Sealed in a frying pan and then cooked in foil for 30 minutes. Steak cut chips, onion rings, mushrooms and peppercorn sauce.

Went with rare but if it’s a high quality restaurant I’d go blue (if they allow it!)

I always go for well done.
I prefer it well done, it’s my steak and I’ll have it as I like it:D
Also when eating out I find even in what would be considered good it still arrives medium well done so it’s kind of a fail safe.It would have to be bad for me to send it back to some prissy chef, god knows what it might come back with added!

The chef is too busy crying about ruining a good steak to remember what time it went on! :D:D

O/T I once told Laura off when she ordered a takeaway for us. She made the order and said "can you make sure you put the garlic mayo and don't put any tomatoes in my salad you got it wrong last time". I said to her when she hung up, "Cheers love you do realise you've just got our order spat and spunked on". She does it in Wetherspoon at breakfast too. She'll call the table staff over and ask for her breakfast back if it isn't the right temperature, her toast is cold or her eggs aren't runny. I dread to think what's happened to some of her meals and mine as a consequence.

    I like mine rare.
A few years ago a party of us went out for a meal, one asked for her steak cremated to which a horrified waiter came back with the line "Would madam prefer bacon and eggs?" lol.

Rare or medium rare depending on the place.
