With more and more people jabbed/double-jabbed.

The test and trace app being jettisoned in large numbers.

With lack of financial support continuing to make self-isolation unviable for the less well-off?

NHS staff told to do lateral flow tests and still go to work if pinged by the tracing app.

What is the point of that?

(Unless you flog lateral flow tests).

I’ve been jabbed, and test twice a week through work. Saw a very feint line in a test, and I mean very. Turned out I was positive, as was the wife, daughter, and most of her friends… I’m currently sat at home feeling like I’ve gone 13 rounds with Mike Tyson. I’ve been isolating since the first test. So I hopefully haven’t passed this on to anyone else. Even after the jabs, it’s like the worst flu I have ever had…

Still need to know infection rates to gauge how well the vaccine is doing at preventing serious illness.

I am genuinely sorry to hear that. And Lady Kaht and I having had it in Dec19/Jan 20 (we think) I strongly agree with your assessment. But my point is, is all that testing now playing any part in preventing the further spread of the disease? I have my doubts. Genuinely interested in opinions.

It didn’t stop transmissions from me initially, but I was unaware I was positive until I had the test. So since the test I have not passed it onto anyone… but I may have the couple of days before. I can’t imagine anyone of an age or with underlying symptoms finding this pleasant. 3am and still no ease of the symptoms… thus has been 3 days now.
