    I hope this ain't true.

Championship duo Barnsley and Luton Town are both interested in signing former Sunderland defender Callum McFadzean this summer.

The Black Cats opted against extending the left-back’s stay at the Stadium of Light earlier this summer.

Sunderland’s decision has opened the door for McFadzean to hunt for a new club as a free agent, with Championship sides now showing an interest in the 27-year-old’s situation.

Perhaps we could sign him on a free and sell him straight on for an undisclosed to Luton. Satisfies everyones transfer policies that way:cool:

Strange one this, we do need a left back and sky and Sind land local press are quite reliable sources.

The reviews from Sunderland fans are very very bad though!

It would be a surprise with 4 decent centre halves already in the squad

Be like a few years ago when we liked a “George” or 2. Or 4.

Wouldn't really fit into our normal recruitment of young hungry players with potential. At 27 not wanted by league one Sunderland does provide cover at Left back but not great reviews. Underwhelming if in my eyes if true.
