I know what the saying means but I just didn’t understand your comment. I’m a traditionalist where cricket is concerned - countries or counties playing each other, in the various formats, interest me. At the moment this new circus event does not. Maybe I will show some interest at some point, but not yet.
+ another one. Graphics naff and distracting Kaur was a joy to watch I think that Manchester haven’t scored enough. At least 15 more needed
All the ‘razzmatazz’ and graphics are a bit lame I’m afraid. All a bit forced, organised fun. I don’t go to the cricket for a DJ set/disco. Not the 6 hitting fest I envisaged either but expect that will come tomorrow in the men’s game. A poor man/woman’s T20 is my initial view.
my missus commented earlier on the umpire, her not me, so not sexist! but she saw 1 and said, **** me, you wouldn't argue with her, and thought she was her off the chase!
Just surprised me seeing as you seem to enjoy T20. T20 is about as far from traditional as they could get until this charade.
switched to the beeb, same awful graphics, guessing it's their way of saying if you wanna watch it without then go to game, it's really off-putting and hope they remove it, in between bowling changes and "outs" yes but please, not during the game play
It's awful with massive graphics covering most of the screen and the boundary rope too far in. Matchplay Darts is better.
I think it’s been around long enough now to have become an accepted part of the cricket calendar and it’s great being part of a big crowd at Headingley. At least T20 is “your team” playing somebody else, not a bunch of mercenaries playing another bunch of mercenaries. It hurts watching Yorkshire get beaten, in almost the same way as it hurts watching the Reds lose. Watching this new format would be pointless for me.
The 100 isn’t for cricket fans, actually it’s for sort of cricket fans who want a night out with the family, it doesn’t go in too long, mum and dad can get a beer, the kids can watch a singer etc that’s unfortunately how I see T20, I’m sure it’s enjoyable, I might tune in on the telly if Yorkshire are playing, and I’d never knock anyone who does enjoy it, much like we shouldn’t knock anyone who goes to this, like you I won’t be…. Unless they wear whites, play for a week and end up with a draw
Just put it on. Hardly any crowd, don't like the graphics ( think that's aimed at a younger audience) nowhere near the atmosphere of yesterday's T20. Why not have mixed teams?
