10000 there tonight Helen which is remarkable for a women’s game. Not sure what you mean about mixed teams?
I mean male and female in the same teams. Chance to do something a bit different. Crowd just seems quiet compared to last night's I've just put it on so didn't know the crowd numbers, it just looked empty.
Trust me Helen, you wouldn't want to face Mark wood continually topping 90mph. It's much much quicker in reality.
Quite enjoyed that. I was right about the total 150 would probably have done it for Manchester. Or holding their catches
No chance of that happening any time soon. Would be quite unfair to put the women up against male fast bowlers, would just be a farce to be honest. I’m a big fan of women’s cricket but they’re well off the men’s standard for loads of reasons.
But mixed doubles Tennis works with men lobbing down 120 mph serves. It would be interesting to see if mixed teams worked in cricket
The contracted test players shouldn't be exposed to this sort of crap. Some of their techniques are already a bit iffy.
That’s a strange argument so it’s fine for men who can bowl but have no idea how to bat to face 90mph deliveries but not a woman because she might get hurt by the hard ball.
Record crowd for a women's domestic match! To be honest I thought the atmosphere was a bit flat too but there must be some TV trickery going on because pretty much everybody I've seen talk about it who was actually there said it was great.
Actually, I know a guy who had one of their balls removed after getting hit by one. As an aside I'm all for mixed sports but as others have said, I'm not sure women have had enough training against 90+ mph quicks for it to be safe. Steve Smith nearly lost his head to an Archer bouncer when he was the number 1 batsman in the world in the form of his life. I'm sure some of the best female batters would handle it ok, but I'd be seriously worried about tail ender's.
.Exactly. obviously the women's serve is harder to hold than the men's bit as both sides are the same it evens out.
