I wondered if it was because of the announcement yesterday and the fact that anyone now not jabbed at all would have a season ticket they couldnt use which could throw up some problems with refunds, resales, whos still going to get jabbed etc. do they also ban pregnant ladies and vulnerable adults that cant have the jab. Can people go who have had covid and recovered or are they still forcing people to go have these vaccines as the real thing isnt valid!?

To be honest, and this is my opinion, I am double jabbed , have renewed my + membership but if I was offered a ifollow pass alternative to attending games, I would be more than happy with that. That would free up a seat for someone else. I actually enjoyed last season because I could do other things around the football. I'm also uneasy about attending large crowds at this time, outside is one thing but toilets etc ..... Im not so concerned about myself but many of us will have more vulnerable relatives. Just a thought, offer existing members ifollow option which will allow further tickets for those that want to attend.

That's terrible to hear and I hope they recover swiftly.

It's alarming to hear, but I do wonder if there is possibly some form of genetic element which determines susceptibility, as otherwise the chances of 2 kids from the same family being hospitalised seem very remote.

I am in a similar position to you. If we are allowed I will probably attend on August 14th and see how I feel. As they did for the play-off home game I think it would be sensible to arrange staggered entry times, although this may be difficult with 11,000 plus attending. Face coverings should also be encouraged especially in the concourses and queues.

I-follow was a great substitute last season and I will probably use it for any games not on the Sky Red button.

It is a strange time and abolishing all legal controls will only encourage the virus. I think we have some way to go before Covid is relegated to the minor league.

They are not from same family mate

I’m certainly not scaremongering like another poster stated . I for one have been out in town and local pubs and won’t hesitate to go back to football I just don’t see it happening .

I honestly believe we will back in complete lockdown by September

It’s just an opinion. I don’t think BL is trying to stop anyone getting on with their lives either.

    Really bizarre post.

Agree with this. I'd happily take an iFollow pass as alternative and I hope it continues being an option for all games, whatever happens.

It would be interesting to know, with the way the numbers are going but restrictions being lifted, how many people will swerve going back in August because they wouldn't yet feel comfortable in large crowds. I suspect it would be quite a few.

I've already counted myself out for next season. I have regular blood tests because I have a blood cancer. The chemo I have had has wrecked my immune system and it is well down. I've had both injections and recently they gave me an antibody test. That revealed that I have no antibodies either, which means that in total I am wide open to any infection at all. My haematologist has advised me to stay in lockdown and take no risks at all until science comes up with a way to help me and the three million others in the same boat. The blood cancer is incurable, but the really good news is that for now it is in remission. I've been given a second chance to live, and I don't intend to blow it. I renewed my season ticket and car park pass with the Early Bird offer, so I've just emailed Beth at the Club to see if they will give me an i-pass for the season. I've no idea how this will go nationally; it's up to everybody individually now to sort their own life out. That's what I'm doing.

so they allowed 60k into Wembley for the final, thats 3/4 of the capacity. Oakwell holds almost 24k + so just under 16k would be 3/4 of capacity.

According to the chronicle ticket sales have been suspended "simply to export the details of the more than 11,000 season ticket holders so the tickets can be sent out - a process that happens every year" so unrelated to covid 19.
Expected to go back on sale in the near future.
