In all seriousness, Barton must have some kind of mental health issue. If not,,,, is he evil? Thick? I can’t imagine.
I don’t think he’s evil or thick but he has serious anger issues. I’ve heard people who’ve managed him speak about him & they all seem to love him but there’s a screw loose & when he goes he goes & I think he deserves to go back to prison. I find it bizarre that Bristol gave him a job when he had the Stendel court case hanging over him. At least Fleetwood had the excuse that if they did sack him & he was found not guilty they’d have to pay him up
On bail for another assault your normal man on street are getting remanded into custody and thats a fact, thats wat i dislike about our justice system, different rules for different people.how is it possible to get bail for a second assault its un heard of unless its 2 assaults thats happened int same incident.
I struggle to understand how an employer can look at stuff like this come to the decision that this person is right for their football club https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/joey-bartons-most-disgraceful-controversies-23544106 The most odious man in football imo.
Be interesting to see how they cover the Stendel incident in this: https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport...s/six-part-documentary-bristol-rovers-5695816
In 1984 when the miners were arrested and charged . Their bail conditions was they couldn't attend a picket or they were arrested and put in custody till their court date. Unbelievable Jeff
but other than all that and the fact he was due in court regarding assaulting a fellow football manager, why on earth would Bristol Rovers not employ him after he got the sack from Fleetwood (and another couple of alleged physical.instances on the training ground there)
Clubs keep giving him a job and the league managers association keep quiet, when he kills someone I wonder if that will finally see him finished in football?
The starting point for Common Assault is a community order. And he denies the Stendel offence. But as I understand it, the Police bailed him to attend court. Therefore bail wasn't opposed.
It absolutely is, and in more ways than one. If you are loaded, like Barton will be, you're fine cos you can afford a defence. If you're broke, you're fine, you'll get legal aid. If you're like me, normal bloke, average income, home owner, working etc. you are f****d! you can't get legal aid and unless you sell your assets and borrow up to the hilt to pay for a defence, you're on your own. And when you've done all that and been found not guilty, you have no right to reclaim the cash you spent. You might have lost your job by this time, you might be estranged from your partner and family, your life might be in tatters. You've got nothing to come!
He has had a shocking upbringing by all accounts but still don't think it justifies all the stuff he has done. He needs serious help for his anger issues otherwise this will continue unfortunately. Danny Mills spoke about this on a recent Undr The Cosh episode as he was with him for a while at City. I read Barton's book a few years back and it was an interesting read. After reading that I really thought he had turned things around etc. based on what he was saying in the book but since then its been the same old stuff again.
Joey Barton has pleaded not guilty to assaulting his wife Georgia at a Kew party in June. Barton is accused of grabbing her round the throat and then kicking her in the head when she fell to the ground. He denies the charge and is due to stand trial on December 16 He'll not have much room in his diary. Looks like Daniel got off lightly. Hope justice is served in both cases, he's had more lives than most cats !
