In which case, better to describe them as anti vaccine passport rather than anti lockdown, they are two different things.

Though the clips that I have seen suggest they are just anti-vax and will just undermine any serious protest against the particular policy of vaccine passports

Labour set to oppose the vaccine passport plans describing them as impractical, costly and open to fraud. Common sense really im suprised so many Labour die hards on here support boris and his crazy vaccine passports.

 

I think too many are too keen to create a binary world.
I don’t support Boris’ anything.

But if I only had the choice between Boris and vaccine passports, or the bunch of cu nts in London yesterday, then sign me up as a Tory.

I believe that the government are upping the pressure on people to get vaccinated (including a threat of passports) and if that works and means everyone can get back to football, that’s a good thing. And clearly a better option than some ex nurse proposing a re-run of the Nuremberg trials to hang health workers administering vaccines.

Think there was protests all over the country yesterday opposing the vaccine passports definitely leeds aswell.

But you and so many others are behind boris's plans for vaccine passports for nightclubs sporting events etc when even with 2 jabs the virus is still able to be spread. Yes its obvious the government are upping the pressure as you put it to get vaccinated more like twisting peoples arms imo.

It’s language designed to nudge behaviour for the greater good of society, not forcibly removing people’s limbs.

 

I guess it depends whether you think it’s appropriate for the Government to have a parent-child relationship with it’s citizens.

 

I think it’s appropriate for the government to use very common communication methods in order to keep its citizens safe.

But then I’m not criticising everything they do because I’m having a tantrum about a worldwide event that’s not of their making

 

For me trying to encourage a 7 year old to eat his dinner and trying to force adults to have a vaccine for a illness with a survival rate of near on 100% for under 40s, by saying if you don't have it you can't go abroad, nightclubs, sporting events is abit different imo.

I think pressure would be a more appropriate word and I don't think anyone should be pressured into taking a vaccine. Especially not young people who aren't at much of a risk.

 

You’re entitled to your thoughts, I think pressure is still too strong and your original description was force.

The issue isn’t what the risk is to a younger person, it’s that if we don’t get enough people vaccinated we don’t reach herd immunity and will inevitably end up in a cycle of lockdowns.

So any young person just measuring the risk of death and deciding not to get vaccinated is simply putting their own convenience before the good of the whole country.

I’d like to get back to normal, so I can’t understand why someone would think it’s ok for them to choose not to get a vaccine, then complain they can’t go to the football or worse still start gobbing off when we have to go back into a lockdown because we didn’t reach herd immunity.

Simple cause and effect.
