    If you had a Barnsley pre-season or transfer window bingo card this would be on it. And it’s still yet to happen.

    Maybe this time it will come true but I don’t see Woodrow leaving us. Have we announced our new captain yet?

    Really depends on the system. Three of the six strikers can also play as out and out wide players too, so there’s flexibility there. We also don’t know the expectation of each signing. Cole might not be coming expecting to start 40 games, Morris might know he’ll do well to start 30 games (I hope not), and this lad from Toulouse might be expecting a bedding in season.

    Could easily keep them all happy with so many variables

    What are the chances of Frieser leaving? I'm sure he's only got a year left on his current deal.

    As others have mentioned above, it'll be a tough ask keeping six first-team strikers happy, without the five substitute rule (assuming Adeboyejo/Simoes will leave as has been rumoured).

    It's odd we are bringing all these strikers in. We scored plenty of goals last season. If this man comes. I can see it been him and woodrow and obbi. Cole might not get much time.

    That leaves

    Simoes to go out on loan. Think he still as some ability.

    Miller off

    Unsure about freiser as he seems happy here. He's quite versatile too and he's far from the worse we've had.

    Don't think it will be much of an issue having this many attackers on books personally. We do need to get rid of one or two that are not up to standard (Vic, Miller, Simoes etc.) but with Obbi and Morris both having had injury issues in the past, its going to benefit us to have some depth there. Last season if Dike/Morris or Woodrow had got injured the replacement would not have been that great. If we get this deal done along with Obbi and Cole we should have plenty of depth there and hopefully plenty of goals.

    Did we? I thought we were massively wasteful, only averaging around 1.2 goals per game is low for a team that got into the playoffs.

    I bet there were only about 5 games all season where we scored more than 2 goals.

    Just checked stats on this and at an average of 1.26 a game we only outscored Swansea in top 6(1.22), interestingly though our conceded was worst out of same 6.

    Although he hasn’t got a fantastic scoring record he’s played a decent amount of games for a 23 yr old compared to Oulare and at a good level.
