In light of the recent channel crossing problems. How many Pro Brexit voters have written to Johnson to ask how the promised. ‘taking back control of our borders’ is going?
Oh they will be livid as they’re petrified of people with brown faces!! There is an actual campaign on Twitter at the minute to stop donations to the RNLI in protest to stop them helping migrants in rubber dinghies crossing the channel the humanity of some ppl is atrocious!!
A migrant in Paris wanted to braid our lasses hair near Eiffel Tower back in 2015,we did not have time, wanted 4 Euros ,we didn’t have time ,so said no sorry pal,he went it’s ok,the English say no with love in their heart where as the french say no with hatred, maybe that’s why they want to get here,I gave him 2 euros and wished him good luck, wonder where he is now the lad
Rod Liddle says we are heading for gold...... https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/15720982/rod-liddle-britain-economy-recovery/ To be fair he's only quoting the International Monetary Fund that has us alongside USA as the fastest growing economy in the world in recovering from the past 18 months.
But his comment is based on what the International Monetary Fund have said and I think we can trust them.
Just on the basis that our economy collapsed so much more than others means we've more scope for growth, but still be considerably behind other nations economies that may not appear to be "growing" as fast. I tend to take these things with a pinch of salt, both good and bad. It's an estimate, and anything can happen as we've seen.
Mmm Or you could take the phrase he’s quoted from the IMF and add context. And then you’d see that our economy suffered the worst of all our competitors last year, so a better than expected growth this year is just a sign that we’ve been mismanaged. And he’s still a pr ick
I donated to the RNLI today, never have done before but after Farrage accused them of being a taxi service for illegal immigrants I thought they deserved my support.
Technically he is correct. The people smugglers, the ones pocketing the 5k per person per trip are waiting until the RIB gets into British waters and declaring an emergency often citing women and children on board and under maritime law the RNLI/Navy have to react.
If the media are correct in highlighting shortages of staff in many sectors of the economy, surely we should be welcoming people who have had the wherewithal to cross continents to get here to fill those vacancies.
