There's a feel good about this pre-season and a balance about the squad. Welcome Jenson. Just a left back and confirmation of Lukaku and i'll be happy.

I don’t know a whole lot about him personally but from what I’ve read, I am very optimistic about this signing.

    Good luck Josh!

From my Burnley mate who knows his football (been a junior scout for Burnley) - "he works hard, had a bit of pace and bite about him, not the biggest, but is neat and tidy on the ball without really being creative. Gives and goes and get on it, 10-15 yard passes. Hope he does well for you"

Or maybe Scowen, think he might have left after.

Must say when we stayed up by the skin of our teeth, there was much talk about the plan and how it hadn't evolved. If you look now at the quality of player we are shopping for, we do now seem to have moved up a level and was also evident last season with the likes of Morris, Dike.. Bringing players in with Premier League pedigree, others played in the champs league, Europa. When the plan originated we were basically plucking all our players out of non league, league 1 & 2. It is always worth keeping an eye on those leagues for our development squad or the odd gem.

Just can't wait for the season to begin now, hope the players don't feel any pressure based on where we finished last season. There will be games where we work hard and get nothing, some maybe when we look off the pace and get pumped, then some where we look unbeatable like any other season. It's what makes this league so good for me as a fan, the lows and highs experienced throughout the years.. From spine tingling moments of that premier league promotion season, especially the last push against Bradford, to the torment of relegation to league 1 and that match at Altrincham (shivers).. A mate of mine is a Barca fan and goes quite regularly to watch their games, I've always said I would find it a tad boring after a while when 95% of the time you expect a win and nothing else. We trudge over that hill down to Oakwell full of hope and excitement, then sometimes back over into town full of WTF did I just watch... Proper getting giddy.. Queue up timerider DJ, we'll be there soon! COYR..

Your second para perfectly sums up the progress we have made since our new Owners came on board. we have taken it to the next level and the plan has evolved / is evolving successfully.
It's notable that with both Ismael and Schopp they have cited how joined up we are as an organisation. Clarity of purpose and a clear understanding of how we intend to achieve our objectives.
All joined up. Top to bottom.
