I have made some disparaging remarks towards George Miller recently.

I wish to apologise to George for making them.

The lad no doubt is doing and giving his best and whilst he may not be championship quality in my opinion it does not give anyone the excuse to write comments that are not acceptable to a young professional footballer.

Good luck in your career in football George where ever it may take you.

I think your comments in the past would be more justified if he was one of our top earners. The more likely scenario is that he’s one of our lowest earners and we took a punt on a young lad, if it pays off great, if not, it’s unfortunate.

Good on you for owning up to your comments and apologising. We all make mistakes.

Not convinced. You have to apologise to his face & clean Miller’s boots for a week, so we know you’re sincere..
It will be good for you.. :)

I think we’re all guilty of forgetting there’s a human being behind the footballer from time to time. Most of them are just young lads trying to do their best for themselves and their families.

Why can't we say he's a crap footballer? He's in public eye.

I've never seen him play. Just asking for a friend. BTW has anybody seen him play?

I appreciate he's human but if you're paid to kick a ball about n' are pretty rubbish don't be alarmed when people say you'd make a better window cleaner.

Why not just say he's not good enough for a first team place , or even a squad place with us?

    That doesn't make him "crap".

Slating a player who may well be trying his best doesn't in my opinion afford others the opportunity to denigrate him.

There may even be mental health issues going on here. I'm not big on this area but let's not think it's open hunting season on kids who might read these posts and take it personally.

(Ritzy's never done owt for us btw - but he doesn't know where I live)

How can you be a serious, realistic judge of a player and his abilities if you've never seen him play?

Strange one. We've played him at the back many times in friendlies. Maybe he can be Mr. Versatile at another club. Given our recent signings. He probably needs to move on to try his luck elsewhere. Anyhows . Good luck to the lad.

I dont know if Miller is good or not. I genuinely don't. I never judge any player unless I've seen them myself a few times. I certainly don't automatically assume someone is crap if a bbs poster says so.
Someone on here once said Dave Regis was crap for example. Tsk!

I think you are wrong, anyone who makes professional is certainly not crap , there are millions of us who could only dream about playing at pro level & this lad has done it , fair play to him & he if he does not become a regular at championship level then hopefully his career will kick on at a level where he does settle & things go well for him , but to say he is crap at his job is an insult .

Nice lad, I see him a lot in thurnscoe where he’s living. I don’t know how good he is but I know he’s obviously pretty decent to be playing football to a professional standard. Our scouts aren’t daft either, so if he came up on our radar it’s because he’s got potential to be a bloody good footballer.

best of luck to him. Do I think he will go on to be a first team player for us? Probably not. Do I think he’ll have a good future in the game playing at a good level? Absolutely.

Thurnscoe say no more. Can't make it's mind up if it wants to be in West Yorkshire or South Yorkshire. Was given out caught behind there. Worst decision ever.

Very true, when in school etc every lad wants to be a footballer every local club has a and b sides at every age some have more. So the chance of actually making it pro to the championship is I don't know a 0.3% chance at a guess? I'm sometimes harsh on players who I witness play for us but been realistic they definatly aren't crap and have achieved what most can only dream of. I'm not sure if he will make it in the championship or victor or a few others I hope they do but I'm sure they will have decent careers and like already said probley one of the lowest earners at the club.
