Get the old peepers checked at Specsavers.. Not been to Barnsley since we beat Fulham a couple of years back. Not felt up to it & public transport is a bit of a ‘mare.. Got the itinerary sorted. Get some snap, hit the charity shops, see what’s worth looking at, eye test, find summat nice for the old dog & maybe go for a cheeky pint.. Any tourist recommendations? Might even try to persuade @Biglil to leave the sofa for the aft?!
If you've never done the museum in the town hall. Worth a gander (free entry). Shortlisted for best museum. 2021.
stall in the market. Mediterranean olives and assorted spicy deli tasties. run by a lovely Iranian bloke and his wife.
Youll struggle for a pint in the No7. its unlikely to be open before 14:00 if it bothers opening at all. By the sounds of it, its on its arse at the minute. Jolly Tap should be open from around 1pm. watch out for land whales.
Or the saddos walking around Tarn looking for anything or anybody that they can try and fit into the stereotyping
No7 is open from 12 every day and if its a quiet pint you want that's the place, as Deetee says there's hardly anybody using it which is a shame. Hopefully pick up when season starts.
I look forward to him coming over in person when I’m with all the 20st beer bellied rugby lads to tell us how much of a drain we are on the NHS!! Absolute tw@
Technically you are. Not quite as much when you are younger and more active but when father time catches up with you. Which I am sure was the point of my original post.. Men in their fifties having a gut and generally looking unhealthy. Being overweight causes a massive strain on your heart and lungs, kidney function, joint function, diabetes, mental health issues, breathing difficulties, higher risk of stroke and certain cancers. Not forgetting that a massive percentage of those who have had to seek treatment for Covid at hospital are classed as obese. The government and PHE have both published a number of papers showing that being overweight has an increased risk of hospitalisation and death should you get Covid. Should you require surgery, the increased risk from the procedure and anaesthetics. It wasnt that long ago a number of NHS trusts started cancelling non urgent surgery for those who they classed as overweight. Anything above 30 BMI I think from memory. So rather than getting angry have a look in the mirror and ask yourself, do I want to be built like this when I hit 40 or whatever the next milestone age is in your life. I made that decision in 2015. I was 20 stone. The circumference around my gut was 48 inches. I am now just under 15 and 18%-20% body fat. Now Ive got the all clear from the sawbones that fat percentage will decrease. So if you want to live your life as a beer swilling overweight prop forward crack on. However, do not dictate to people how they should look after their bodies if you cant look after your own.
Everytime they've reopened the safety measures were OTT and no one could see you waiting by the Covid secure entrance rope so people ****** off elsewhere. It was the busiest Ive seen it Friday for 18 months. Still less than 30 folk in though at peak end of shift hours.
Don't worry, old mate. I won't darken the streets of Barnsley ever again. I'll leave them clear for the extreme right-wing, pure Aryan types to wander about freely, without coming into contact with the fat, thick, left-wing, woke, tree hugging liberals like me!
I haven’t dictated to anyone how they should look after their body it’s none of my business and it’s none of yours you miserable ***** like I’ll still be playing rugby come age of 40 I’m 20st the circumference of my gut is 37 1/2 inches if you were unhealthy and overweight that’s your issue!! Like I say before the game on 14th we will be in the silkstone from 10.30 onwards come and say hello
I'm a bit over weight. I walk 30 miles a week and have a healthy diet. I do drink too much. Life is a balance.
