    When I was at school Yorkshire played a cup match at shaw lane. Midweek it was packed.
    Think they played notts. Must have been 1975ish.

    It was .Notts and 1975. Benson & Hedges Trophy.

    Played further B&H matches at Shaw Lane in 76, 77 and 78,managed to lose to Combined Universities in one of them.

    Little blond kid who used to live next door but one to us hit a debut 50 last week. Will Luxton.
    He has a decent younger brother too, and his Dad was (is) still a good local cricketer.

    Will be nice to see if he can hack the four day game, given a chance.

    Did well in the end. Out of the loop re local cricket but if I remember correctly isn't Jack Shutt the son of Steve Shutt who played for us though mainly youth and reserve level some time back. I know he's from Elsecar so every chance.

    Over 300 after being 0/2 and winning pretty comfortably despite the opposition putting on 115 for the 6th wicket. The young lads have done well, with Ballance adding some experience.
