All these last minute changes. Is this just for tomorrow or permanent ? Why wait until a few days before our first game when surely all this could have been sorted weeks ago.
I think he's on about the game tomorrow being all ticket? I think the fanzone won't be open either, but that's definitely just a temporary thing. I'm willing to cut the club a bit of slack when it comes to the logistics of getting back to full operations. All in good time.
The all ticket thing, the East Stand car park thing, the pay on the day parking thing, the Beevor Court thing, the Jumble crossing thing, the thingy thing .... Sorry but fans are going to get a little teed off. We are an inconvenience. If only we could opt for watching at home on IFollow ! You'd still get your crowd announced at 11,000+ even if we all stayed at home. I'm travelling 50 miles and I don't know what's facing me. There are thousands of others who will probably get caught out.
Not sure if you're aware but the ifollow decision is out of the club's hands and has nothing to do with them.
I sometimes wonder how people are able to get themselves out of bed and prepare simple meals for sustenance.
Relax mate, I'm driving 75 miles. I rarely park at the ground, I prefer to park at the Dearne Valley Park, Hoyle Mill and walk up by the river. If that's full then I'll head back towards Cundy Cross, loads of parking on the road.
Happy birthday to mr YT. I’m sure this isn’t his fault, but the communication on this has been very poor.
Trouble is that many people are either unwilling or unable to walk any distance. Those that are unwilling are just plain lazy and a mile or so will NOT kill them. When my mother was alive she lived on Spencer Street, off Park Road, and I used to park outside her house. Great going down to Oakwell, not so great scaling the three hills to get back . Elderly or disabled is another matter of course and they are going to be seriously inconvenienced by this. On the other hand how many football grounds have such good parking facilities as we have at both ends of the ground? By "good" I mean quite big. Not necessarily convenient though, unless you're happy to be delayed a long time after a match. I've not used the club car park for years, and I have rarely parked in there, ever. Not worth the hassle or risk of damage to the car.
Agree with you there. I've never entertained the idea of parking in any club car park. Did it once at Maine Road back in the 80s and it took an hour and a half to get out. Park well away from the ground and do a ten/ fifteen minute walk. Far less hassle, quicker and even a tiny bit healthy. I do understand of course that there are those who aren't able to walk far which is then an issue.
Communication - on a lot of matters - from the club is dire, and still in massive need of improvement. However, to ask a fan - on a public forum - who just happens to work there, is not the way to go about it. In my opinion of course.
