Sold out the allocation - just been down for tickets. Whether that's full or a restricted one l dont know. Not many tickets left elsewhere, struggled for 2 together with a decent view
Sounds like it’s quite a restricted capacity. If we do well this season, the club will have to find a way of making use of the north stand for home fans, or do something about the west stand
Must be restricted numbers in there then as it will not have been sold out when there are still seats in the Ponty and East - its a pure guess but I assume the safety assesment has placed a cap on the numbers - the fact that there arent many other tickets left has triggered the all ticket requirement
But a random Coventry fan on a forum said it wasn’t safe so really you mean it’s actually a pile of rubble right now? Long live the West Stand!
I looked an hour before it was pulled from the ticket website and there were full blocks of seats for sale so it looks like restrictions are in place. If we are doing well this season then folk will struggle for tickets, it now needs replacing.
or the safety issues addressing - we dont know what the problem is at the moment - if its structural or something else or if its easy to fix or not. of course it could even be down to a particular safety inspecteor taking an unrealisically hard view of the risks- we do seem to get hit harder than most other teams on that score
Maybe we wouldn't get hit harder if the West Stand didn't look like it was about to fall down as soon as you get within 800 yards of it. Pull the damn thing down.
If the ground has plenty of empty seats tomorrow than flexi tickets might be hard to use this season. If the reason tickets went off sale so early and no pay on the day was because we've genuinely sold most of our usual seats fair enough.
Is there a preservation order on the West Stand Bogs? They are an historic reminder of how toilets used to be in the 19th Century.
If there isn’t there should be. Though they were spoiled a few years ago when the roof was added. Maybe in these Covid times it would be better for ventilation to restore to the original roofless state
Current capacity of West Stand is probably circa 2,000. It’s easy to see why it’s all ticket today, as with 11.5k season tickets, a home capacity of 14k and the first proper home game for 18 months it was always going to be busy. With Coventry not bringing many though, it won’t be an overall high attendance. If we’d had been playing Sheff Utd, I’m sure we’d have been looking at 19k ish.
If the west stand isn’t able to be used in full the club need to explain why. Communications have disappeared since Dane left. The west stand needs either fixing or rebuilding
