Not looking good for him. Was visibly in tears when he came off with the injury. And then came back on the pitch after full time with a leg brace and crutch. Looked more like a 6-8 week injury at least to me. Fingers crossed for him.
As I said in another thread will be pleasantly surprised if he is back after the international break. Could easily be out for months
Is Cole injured? As for the other 2, it seems to me a bit unprofessional not to keep yourself in sufficient shape to be even considered part of a match day squad, a month after you've signed up. If you're a footballer. What else are they expecting to be doing? If they're injured I forgive them. Nobody's said they are. Perhaps they look doggo in training. I'm sure that Lukaku will need a few weeks acclimatisation before he's ready for Chelsea.
Not sure i was thinking the same be interesting to see who replaces him for Tuesday night but he will definitely be a big miss i cannot believe a card wasn't shown for the challenge on Morris.
Im making a trip up North next week to visit family. The old man has got us a couple of tickets for Tuesday neet. IF BIG VIC IS MORRIS’S REPLACEMENT I MIGHT NOT BOTHER GOING
In my opinion, and I had a head on view of it, it was a nothing challenge. No hack or owt like that at all. The culprit stayed on his feet. Morris might be a bit delicate.
The 6-8 week estimate is quite specific? Do we even know what the injury is yet? He’ll be a big loss whatever it is. Let’s hope he comes back strong!
It was a guess mate. He was crying in front of our stand when he came off. It’s either an 6-8 week injury, 6 months, or the full season. That’s how knee injury’s tend to go I think. (Pretty sure it was his knee from what I saw VS doing with him).
Ahh okay fair enough, wondered if you’d heard something. He can be a big player for us this season so let’s hope it’s not too bad. Gutting for the lad, seems he needs a break with injuries, let’s hope this can be it.
It could be - remember someone playing on with knee ligament damage not too long ago and then out for a season
I remember Heinz Muller rupturing his cruciate in the first half against Colchester, January 2009. Simon Davey insisted he went out for the second half, as he hadn't selected a substitute goalkeeper. Muller kept a clean sheet, but was out until the following October.
It’s bad news, we were struggling up front last season, then we brought in Dyke and Morris and it was a different ball game, 2 games in and we’re back to square one. Hope the 2 new lads can step in and fill the gap, it is strange though why they’re not around the squad, unless they’re injured.
