Signed for Dulwich Hamlet. Odd one - seemed to have a bit about him so surprised he's dropped down that far. All the best to him https://the72.co.uk/245236/winger-jordan-green-finds-new-club-eight-months-after-leaving-barnsley/
The only odd thing for me is that we signed him in the first place. Looked out of his depth whenever I saw him. Good luck to him.
Yes, just round the corner from me. Often get 2,000 gates and plans for a new ground, but been very messy with some offshore ‘investors’ owning the land.
Dull Witch Omlette. get 2500 through the gate on a Saturday and 750 on a Tuesday when it’s a bit cold Food hut only sells pieminister pies at £10 a pop I counted 7 dogs wearing club scarves last time I went and at least 3 people stood drinking champagne / fizzy wine watching the match. Hipster central
Never saw much of him, the bits I did I just remeber him running around alot, to go from a championship club to conference south must be demoralising for him, good luck to him
clubhouse bad wasn’t too bad actually. I love non league, it’s actually in the rules that the grounds must have a clubhouse bar… many including dulwich overlook the pitch
Been to a few non-league games and thoroughly enjoyed them. I think that getting promoted to the league can be the worst thing that can happen for some clubs. Scarborough and Boston are just two examples of how things can go wrong (though Wycombe and Burton are obviously two big successes). Harrogate and now Sutton have been forced to rip up their pitches, which immediately puts them at a financial disadvantage to where they previously were. I fear for Harrogate especially. I really don't see how they can sustain a league football club long-term, especially if a city just down the road the size of York can't seem to manage it. Under 2000 for their first league game in front of fans the other week, and it looked like Rochdale took a good few hundred.
I think Accrington should be the benchmark for many clubs coming up, just over 2 k on Sat with a few hundred away, a well ran club who continue to punch well above their weight
It’s amazing how many times I’ve read people saying Jordan Green showed some talent or picked him in their teams based on one sprint against Southend where he got fouled. Apart from been able to run fast I’ve no idea whether he’s much as a footballer. I can only assume he’s nowhere near championship level as various managers didn’t pick him & he didn’t do much out on loan in league 2.
