Empty where Woodrow could have sat and been more effective

Plenty of seats in pubs and clubs across Barnsley where you could go instead of Oakwell

He had a poor game tonight, if you think he was bone idle I can only conclude that you haven’t a clue

No you haven’t, Woodrow worked hard tonight, but he was very ineffective and in my opinion had a poor game.

Best thing you can say about Woodrow is that he's very consistent.
No clever movement or desire to get on the end of things, throws his arms in the air a lot, gets fouled or falls a lot and drops deep to lay off some lovely passes a lot.
Fingers crossed that he can form good partnership's with the new lads.

Most work he did tonight was getting up off the floor after throwing himself to it for the 20th time of the evening.

In the entire 90 minutes can you tell me one time he jumped for a header? I don't mean won one, I mean tried to jump

Do you think that if he went for that seat he’d end up on the floor?

I saw him jump a few times tonight but was simply beaten in the air, I can’t give you the specific minute in play of these but my point still stands, there is no lack of effort in his game.

You must have a better view than me then because his feet were rooted to the ground from my view

Perhaps if he concentrated as much on finding space and using his strength to out muscle defenders as he does throwing himself to the ground, he might be more effective. Just a thought.

He's not even very effective at throwing himself to the floor. Half the time, we concede possession as he hits the deck and the defender comes out with the ball while he throws his arms in the air to the referee who by that point has turned around and is not even looking.

To be fair your argument was that he's bone idle - which is ********.

He was poor last night though, granted.

But that isn't a new part to his game. In the 3 years he's been at the club, I bet I can count on one hand the number of headers he's won.

The problem isn't how many headers Woodrow wins, the issue is, we persist on playing the ball in the air to him.

He goes to ground to try and win the foul, as he knows he isn't going to win the aerial battle.

Without Morris we are pretty ineffective. Woody was half a yard off it last night but hes our only player who can shoot effectively. Im just amazed we play a left wing back (or whatever he is) in a front 3 and expect results. It really does speak volumes.

Cannot believe the stick he always gets. He got us up, kept us up and nearly got us up again. Not a bad first three seasons with us. Our top scorer this century. A rarity in a key player who wants to sign a new contract rather than us relying on a year in our favour. I believe a lot of the time the longer you're with us or less you're seen, the more you're liked. Benson and Kane get as much praise as Cauley on here when one hasn't scored yet (early days) and the other has been out of favour with multiple head coaches.

That's down to Schopp. He probably saw the Brentford game on Sky and thought Oduor was a striker.
