Definitely smaller. It's the same with everything now. Firms are governed by the obesity crisis. Chocolate bars are smaller, as are packets of crisps, tubs of chocolates. Cases of lager or cider are now 18 packs instead of 24 etc.
Just a reminder... Pub team update...the manager is crap and all the players are crap, the owners are crap, and the ground is crap. No investment and no ambition.
Fun fact (although not fun at all). They're the same size and the machine at Burton's Biscuits is the same one that made them 30 years ago. Allegedly
It’s like beer aficionados or self proclaimed experts when they say ‘it’s not as good as it used to be’ on a beer like Thornbridge Jaipur. It’s arguably better than it used to be, their memory is rubbish, and taste buds move on. Wagon wheels are the same size! I don’t actually know if that’s true but it’s a pretty reliable source (aren’t they all)
Another fun fact. My only ever Bingo win - I was 12 - was a box of Wagon Wheels on Blackpool sea front. True story. There were 12 in the box and they were that big it took four of us to carry them back to the B&B. Ok, that bit isn't true.
Wagon Wheels are huge...you grow up and they're half the size. Coppers are reight old...you grow up and they're spotty teenagers.
Officially, Waggon Wheels are smaller than in 2006. In 2006 they weighed 41g, now they weigh 36g. The diameter was also reduced in the 80s from 79mm to 74mm.
