I haven’t denied anything, just saying what my experience was. Hope you enjoyed your stay in Afghanistan, because I assume, Like me at Oakwell on Tuesday night, you’re talking about your own personal experience and what you saw whilst you were there

I'm talking about what I saw and also acknowledging what many others say they saw and experienced wasn't good enough rather than saying it was ok for me so it's alreyt

I'm glad Afghanistan (bizarrely!) has made it's way onto this thread, because it just shows how the current issues down on Grove Street really do pale in comparison, but a few thoughts (forgive the Nudgeresque FOOKIN CAPITAL LETTERS)

-lack of communication is startling. AGREE TO AN EXTENT
-Conway/new CEO haven’t said a word? REALLY DON'T THINK CONWAY CARES WHAT WE THINK; HE'LL BE BACK IF/WHEN WE'RE DOING WELL
-rumours that there’s structural damage and the Coventry game nearly didn’t go ahead. CONJECTURE
-scoreboard not working IT'S NOT GREAT ANYWAY, LET'S BE HONEST. AND.. IT'S A SCOREBOARD
-queues developing, turnstiles not being open - cards not working. NOT TOO DISASTROUS IN THE GRAND SCHEME OF THINGS
-lied to about these Belgians. CONJECTURE

    Conclusion: perspective needed.

I didn’t ‘t just say it was just ok for me did I, I said their were no apparent problems at the time I went in, and I didn’t hear of any.Let’s not forget what the op said about after 3 games when others and my own experience was totally different and better on Tuesday night to what occurred on Saturday

Your comments read fine to me. Think there was a bit of an overreaction in response. You were just saying how it was for you :)

They're working, they're just not scanning. People are still gaining access to the stadium and it's fixable, albeit i understand it is a bug bear that needs fixing. But at a time when people are clinging to planes on a runway to escape their homeland - while people are still able to gain access into Oakwell, with the slight inconvenience of queuing - i don't think our current problems at the club are this great cause for concern. I don't even think they're that big an inconvenience considering fans have only just been allowed to return. People should just be happy to be back. Also, we should be thankful we have people like Whitey at the club who actually give a damn and answer fan queries directly, a rarity at football clubs i'd wager. Teething problems innit :)

Barnsley football club can't eradicate the Taliban, it can however sort out its own ticketing problems. Do you see how one completely unrelated issue doesn't mean the other doesn't matter? By the way some people have claimed to have been turned away completely because the cards didn't work.

Scoreboard is about 10 years old or something. I don't think it's teething problems that it's laughable
We've had electronic cards for years. I don't think it's teething problems that it's laughable
Weve gone through more CEOs than I've had hot dinners in recent years, I don't think it's a teething problem to speak to fans about it.

Yes I understand that entirely, but it's as I say: perspective. And it's teething problems, I'm sure people are working hard behind the scenes to fix the issue. On the issue of season tickets by the way and the issues that we had on Saturday and Tuesday, how many clubs would just wave through fans who have a ticket (rather than manually entering every ticket because they wouldn't scan) to allow supporters to get into the ground on time and accept that the system hasn't worked on that occasion? How many clubs would actually apply a bit of common sense and trust? I imagine many clubs wouldn't and instead would insist on manually entering every ticket, and cause more frustration in the process. People make out we have this terrible club at times who go out of their way to make it hard for fans to have an enjoyable experience; I'd argue the opposite is true and we're very lucky to have the people that we do working behind the scenes (at ground level) for our benefit.

After some of the abuse I received when going about my business on Tuesday night, I'm amazed I still give a damn. :D

I appreciate supporters have concerns, but I can only apologise and advise patience. :(

Absolutely no need to abuse any employee of the club. I obviously haven't met all of them but practically everyone I have ever met or seen has been really customer oriented from clubshop to turnstile to physics even the media team are okish

The fact new season tickets don't work just smacks of incompetence - lack of management oversight, someone not doing their job properly. And given its one of the main sources of income it kind of sucks big time.

That's why patience and understanding is required to allow them to get on with the job in hand, rather than people badgering them for answers, to questions that - let's face it - aren't a crisis. Things will be answered in due course. I just don't think threads like this are helpful, and we need to cut them some slack. Whitey getting abuse personally is ridiculous.

How long does it take them to explain the things asked for in this thread though? How much slack does the club need to tell us Dane Murphy isn't our CEO anymore?

What do people want, a statement on the scoreboard? '[Official Site] SCOREBOARD | AN APOLOGY' Let's be sensible.

As for the Dane Murphy situation, I agree (see my comment on Conway).
