Pretty awful wages considering the qualifications required and the amount of money in football.

The amount of money in football part is so true. Not sure on the awful wages though. Are you meaning in general for physios nationwide rather than at Barnsley FC? £30k is about the going rate

    From the club website.

"As Head Physio, Craig is practically on call 24 hours a day.. "

Yeah that is about standard for 30k a year.

Jesus, very poor wage for a physio. Thought it would be pretty important to have a top one looking after the players.

Is that Chelsea physio who Mourinho fell out with available? She would be a very good appointment in my opinion.

Not being rude, but isn't 'performance analyst' pretty self explanatory?

I'm not sure how anybody can describe what it means without using the words "analyse performance".

Bit like asking "what does a Dog Trainer do?".

That' s NHS pay.Being on call at weekends would earn you more. Plus with the extra stuff you need within an elite sporting environment you'd think a football club should be paying at the top end, with millions of pounds worth of football players to keep fit and to get fit asap.

Presumably £30k is the basic rate. I assume they pay additionally for when they're on call.

Mainly the fact that I would like to see money distributed across football more evenly. But I also think that 30k isn't a great deal, considering current costs of higher education. My partner was considering doing a two years Masters to qualify. Fees were 21k and therefore tuition fees weren't even covered by the standard loan (18k). Apparently very competitive also.
