Massive praise to the lads and lasses for the backing today. Massive praise for the all team and staff ,I've just witnessed some awesome football against a well fancied team who have been tipped for promotion including ex Premier league striker Austin. Was gutted for the fans and team, but pretty much more of that boys with the missing players to come in with more support and we should fancy a top ten finish. Take the positives out of that result and let's build on it.
Yep, there’s stuff to work on, with seeing a game out and killing it off, but things don’t nearly look as bleak as they did Tuesday night. Frieser 2 in 4, Woodrow off the mark, Odour performing in an advanced role. Commentators were talking about players missing for QPR, but add J Williams, Kane, Morris and maybe Oulare / Iseka, to the bench and things could’ve been much better still.
That's who we are missing the most. If for next weekend I could have any player back it would be him. Our defence hasn't looked as strong without him.
It’s a tough one for me regarding Cauley as I thought he linked play up excellently and was energetic specially first half but he played some horrendous lazy balls to his fellow forwards and some terrible attempts when some of his colleagues were in much better positions . I get that he’s a forward and supposed to be selfish but he’s also TEAM captain
And then we would be thinking we should have got players behind the ball. I'm in agreement with your comments on 75 minute 2 0 up we should have seen it through.
I don’t think it was parking the bus that nearly cost us against Coventry. It was trying to get the ball down and play from a throw in on our own byline. We didn’t really park the bus very well on Saturday, with our LWB closing down in the opposition box, but regardless of that, it was criminal that nobody marked their main goal threat in the box. The three CBs need to do better than that.
I thought we faffed with it too much down the flanks. I don't like this trying to usher the ball out when it's losing pace. If it's running fair enough but not when your having to bend double while it trickles out. I thought the QPR wide players were too savvy for that.
To be fair for the 2nd helik had Austin marked until his movement got the better of helik. But its Charlie Austin hes a decent striker at this level tbh he probley should have been banned for the game v us but thats another story.
Yes, he's a good striker, and should've been banned, but Helik looked like he was ball watching a bit, and lost his man. Then once that happened, Kitching should've moved across.
