I’m a legend in my bedroom,
    I’m in heaven, I’m a star,
I’m a legend in my bedroom,
    I’ve got seven guitars...

My friend Anna Page wrote that. Never played for Barnsley though.. :)

Barry is one of the best human beings I've ever known. A true friend now.

Also players from years past should be considered ,Glendenning,Tufnell, Lilycrop , etc , Arthur Fairclough manager , George Utley the only Player to be capped for England whilst on BFC books .
Probably put Hecky in there too as a fan , mascot, player ,captain ,coach ,Manager ,cup winner ,

Rimmo, Winstanley - before my time but rightly revered.

    Glavin. My one true legend.

Tuffnell - before mine and even Big Lils time, but .......
Clarke and Hunter for the part they played in transforming the club.
Hassell, for his affinity with the club. Hammill too. Taggart too had a great bond as well as being a tidy player.
    Rev Preedy.

very subjective, and different players mean different things to different people.

    But Glavin for me. :)

I'm just going to mention David Watson on this thread because I think David Watson deserves a mention on this thread.

If David Watson didn't get injured he'd have eventually become England's No1.

Not for me. I liked him, but he wasn't that good. Used to be horrific dealing with crosses.

Pat & Johnny Kelly, Danny Blanchflower, Eddie McMorran, Jimmy Baxter, Cec McCormiack, Arthur Kaye, Tommy Taylor, Duncan Sharp, Gerry Taggart, Gary Fleming.
All apart from Sharp represented their countries at full, or other, levels.

Best keeper we've had in my relatively short time on this planet.

Their are some true legends on the list and some who have just done well for us .
Most people have their own legends and it’s always open to debate , my father for instance always regarded Johnny Kelly as the best player to ever play for BFC over God or Redders .
Anyone got a link to who is currently in the clubs official Legends Hall of fame ?

I'd pick Steele, Muller, Davies and Collins over him. I don't like small keepers though!

Johnny Kelly was my fathers and his mates best ever player for BFC and he’s seen God and Redders so must have been some player.

Interestingly, my late Father's favourite player for years was Johnny Kelly. Then, after he saw Ronnie Glavin, he changed his mind and selected Ronnie instead.

Muller was great, loved Steele, I thought Lars Leese was brilliant too.

Lists are so subjective but list 1 should have on the woman who sells half time draw tickets on the corner of the Ponty/East.
