I thought he did ok. Let the game flow, had a chat with players for the professional fouls and kept bookings to a minimum. Some of the diving was rewarded but not all.
Not the ref. Our performance wasnt up to much. We are quickly becoming the side we normally are that teams expect nothing from us.
I thought he was fairly consistent today. Compared to the Coventry ref he was flawless. Wasn't in a good position to see the challenge on Oduor. Surely it was either a dive & a booking or a free kick / penalty. Hopefully that may be shown on the highlights.
I thought he was inconsistent but then most of them are. The lino who did the west stand in the second half (can’t remember if he did first half too) was awful though. Only made 2 decisions, one was a soft as **** foul and the other was the offside. Every other time he was waiting for the ref to do something.
Well he at least he managed to book a Birmingham player first. I can’t remember the last time that happened. Mind you he did book Palmer four minutes later!
I thought he had a good match in general letting the game flow, booking players at the right times etc but then made 3 key game changing decisions which were all wrong one way or the other. Kitchen had to go for me or at least someone did. Looked like he headbutted their player and then stood rubbing the front of his head. The ref (and assistants) who had already been alerted to poor behaviour in the box inexplicably missed everything. Surely one should have been watching? Then there was the clear advantage that he just stopped for no reason. We were away with nobody between us and their goalkeeper and the berk blew the whistle. And lastly the foul on odour which was either a foul or a dive. No middle ground in a situation like that, he either took him out or he dove. Ref bottled it and gave nothing.
That some fans are using the ref as an excuse for a poor second half showing. Didn't think he was too bad.
Slight misrepresentation of what I said. I didn't mention our performance. Brum should have won by at least 3. But the ref missed a clear foul on Odour. There were 2 clear fouls on their CM from Benson he missed. In the 2nd half Palmer touched the lad's back in their LB position and it was a foul but an elbow in the back on Woodrow was nowt.
Agree. The only thing I thought he got wrong was the Odour incident; and he should have blown earlier for the foul throw, not when the next passage of play had begun.
Lucky he missed the Kitching blatant headbutt. Let the game flow a lot. No complaints with our bookings.
Ref was 'ok' and got some things wrong and most right. Not awful as some are suggesting and he did try and let the game flow imo.
Don't think our head coach did either he has told BBC it was Pedersen taking all their throws, somebody wants to tell him to do his homework properly
He blew because Roberts committed a foul-throw which Odour picked up, but you can’t play advantage from a foul-throw because the game hasn’t been restarted correctly, no other choice but to blow.
