I don't think he had a bad season last year, maybe didnt quite hit the heights of previous seasons but there's no denying he is still a top end championship player. For experience and professionalism alone he would have enhanced our young squad.
He had 5 good games, I'll give you that. But his time with Swansea couldn't end quick enough for their fans.
Sorry mate but you’re talking ‘claptrap. In life you make choices and decisions that you think will be the best for you and your family. In any profession you work hard and do your best for your employer. Do that and you will be rewarded with promotion and bigger salary or in a footballers situation a move to a bigger club and bigger salary. What don’t you get about that ? Just because Hourihane has decided to move clubs, albeit to one of our rivals, does not warrant your puerile comments.
He can do whatever he wants - but I have an opinion on it, don't have to like it, and I'm certainly not going to wish him well. I hate Sheffield United, so I hope he fails miserably, and they get relegated. Preferably in 24th place, without winning a game, followed by a financial meltdown which causes the club to go out of existence. If you don't like that point of view, others are available. And I'm not your mate. I wouldn't know you if I fell over you.
I was being polite, but in light of your comments I’m not sure neither me nor anyone else would want to be your mate. As for opinions, they’re like arseholes, everybody has one but not everyone wants to hear them.
Some of you must have stronger stomachs than me. I nearly threw up my tea, when I've just seen him in the Blunts kit, saying how delighted he is to have become a Blade.
Indeed - yet there's no problem with you expressing yours, seemingly. But mine? It differs to yours and is therefore verboten. Think whatever you wish, and I'll do likewise. I don't see the point in dragging this out further, because neither of us will change our minds. Goodnight.
I don't take much notice of the player arrival interviews, id like it if one of them said 'well, iv not really took much notice of this club before. I know nothing of the town/city and I'm not really interested in the history. They were offering the most money at the time tho, so to me it was a no brainer'.
Disappointing that he’s signed for the Blunts because a) I’m not keen on them! b) he’s quality c) I’d love to have seen him back here. Can’t hold it against him personally though. How could we? We don’t go in for him - he signs for another Club. Not that surprising.
Jesus wept. Conor Hourihane. Always gave his all for us. Contributed to one of the most memorable chapters in the club's history. Moved to further his career and set him and his family up for life. Always treated us with respect ever since as far as I'm aware. What on earth is there to get in a strop about?
Shame, but if he follows in the footsteps of Brian Howard and Daniel Leagueoneovic then it’s no great shakes. I’d have been more disappointed if they’d signed Alex from us.
Aye, Once a Red always a ... Im Sorry, how does that go again... That about sums up that bit of nonesense. Footballers No.1 commandment. Always keep the supporters onside. So it follows they will pay lip service to any club they go to as they are paying the wage. Then they move on and do the same, say what needs to be said to get the club and supporters on side. In reality, you dont know them, they dont know you. They are interested in No.1.
