Every signing seems to be met with this predictable negativity , it boils my p-- to be honest, why not welcome the lad & put a bit of trust into those doing the business , we have only played 5 games & now have got a fixture break, but some are making out that we should have done all our business months ago , well football does not work like that, it takes two to tango & deals can be long winded complicated things to get over the line .
People might moan about the things you’ve mentioned, but it really doesn’t help if people are posting and giving excuses/criticisms they might not believe in. Why suggest this player doesn’t have talent? That confuses me a little. This isn’t unique to us, it’s a football/social issue, but I find it increasingly frustrating how negative our fan base has become. Maybe we’ve always been like this and the BBS/Social Media just brings it to life more, but regardless it doesn’t mean that it shouldn’t go unchallenged. Saying ‘they’re always like that’ doesn’t mean we shouldn’t call it out, not in my opinion anyway.
It's always been out there , the negativity. Social media now gives absolutely everyone or anyone to voice an opinion. Often when we have not got a clue what the plans are. Look what the Ipswich fans did with Moore , and then hounded the manager out. All turned out well there. It as its advantages of sharing our views. But can very often become detrimental to the best wishes of the club.
This is the problem with signing for teams like City as a youngster. If you think you’re as good as Kevin de bruyne then go ahead and sign for them, otherwise it’s likely going to ruin your career. Only time will tell if he’s going to come good now, but he’s clearly wasted the last two years.
Who said it shouldn't be called out? What i'm saying is its a normal pattern and not surprising. Anyone who suggests he doesn't have talent may be misguided but I suspect more so ignorant. We don't know whether that talent can be applied at our club or not. No-one knows of course and if I look at the past signings last year or so I would say I have little knowledge of what each signing would bring to the table at the point of signing. Take Brittain, Morris, Kane, Dike etc as examples. I personally give time and trust in the club while at the same time know that every signing isn't necessarily a success. People express things more out of frustration - which was my point earlier - at no signings being made. The BBS is of course a central point as is SM for that frustration to be shared. By the way I love reading peoples assessments back, ideally a year or so after they have been proven wrong.
That's why I wish that the fa would bring in a loan limit where clubs can only loan OUT something like 4 or 5 players in a season. Players would be forced to make a decision, sit on their arse or play for a smaller club until they prove themselves
