Beer shortages due to Brexit https://www.theguardian.com/busines...rt-on-some-beers-as-brexit-affects-deliveries
Wonder if the Breweries are prioritising the deliveries they can make and unfortunately the ones hardest to deal with are pushed to the back of the queue - either that or they dont like Mr Martin either Not a problem for me as I dont go near Weatherspoons these days
No no no, its nothing to do with Brexit. It's the fact we don't pay good enough wages, meaning all the EU nationals don't want to work for such low pay. And it is an absolute coincidence that the end of FoM and all the other **** that's come along with Brexit has happened at the same time.
I think he might have been taking the mickey by paryoding the sort of stupid headline the Express would run on this.
I ended up in Bramah's last week with a bunch of friends, for my sins. The tables were littered with propaganda disguised as news.
Never said it was likely, but for the damage he directly inflicted on the country by spreading propaganda for something that was guaranteed to make the country worse, I'll continue wishing ill on him. The utter wankstain.
I used to like Spoons back in the day. Since Mr Merchant Banker started with his brexit pronouncements I won't go near them. Hope he does a Gerald Ratner.
OK, driver shortage is a may be.... Nothing to do with breweries not collecting old barrells. The massive upsurge of home bars etc I know pubs which still have half empty barrells. From covid shut down... Breweries won't take them, and pubs cant just pour down the drain. So they are still there. But, they have done well to jump on band wagon with driver shortage. They have some massive failings themselves to overcome (breweries I mean) Edit.... Not meant to sound as though I'm sticking up for him.....
That is exactly why I won't ever frequent a Wetherspoons again, and haven't since 2016. I've posted on here about it but a magazine was posted through our door from Wetherspoons in 2016 that was completely full of lies about Brexit. It was one of the worse pieces of propaganda I've ever seen and was around the same time he was doing his tour of pubs and bigging up Brexit. There was just no way I was ever going to give him a single penny towards producing that load of excrement and if I was in a pub when he did one of his speeches I would have left immediately. I've only stepped in one of his pubs once since that magazine arrived and that was on one of my friend's birthdays as she wanted to go in during a pub crawl. I went in with her but got a glass of water so as to not have to spend any money there. It was actually quite a big thing for me to stop going as Will and I used to go for a breakfast there every single Sunday for about 2 years, went to one of the Lloyds every week on a Saturday night (and quite often the one in Bradford with workmates on a Friday too) plus pub lunches a couple of times a month. I know there are companies out there doing worse things but it was seeing the direct result of my money being posted through my letterbox as blatant lies that did it.
