Halme is a steady footballer and will suit Schopp's style. He will be able to bring the ball into midfield. It's a total brainfart by Kitching because he's likely to fall behind Halme and Anderson in the pecking order.
Had to be banned. He headbutted him, stopped and then gave him another. Surprised the ref missed it. What did he think Kitching was rubbing his head for? He will learn from it and hopefully his replacement will make it very hard for him to get his place back.
No surprises here. I'm not saying that Kitching didn't deserve to get a retrospective ban - he did. But talk about double standards....the bloke that scored the equaliser at Loftus Road did far far worse 3 days before playing us.
At the match we were told that Kitching's brother was a boxer, and we were wondering how long it would be before the Liam offspring reverted to family type and attacked the opponent. Getting into trouble was only a matter of time. Must admit i never saw the headbutt, but we were all agreeing that Kitching was again displaying loose cannon status. At least he seems to be accepting that he tried his best to sabotage our whole team's efforts. Next Harry Maguire? Only on holiday in Greece.
Good. Deserves it to be honest. We don't want players doing that for us and he needs to learn his lesson and come back more mature. However the club should be asking the question of why Charlie Austin wasnt punished. Not complaining about our punishment but asking why he was allowed to get away with it and request that the fa look at his actions. Is there a statute of limitations on a headbutt?
He's only referencing a meme, not promising to provide the headbutts for the next three matches. Arguably not the moment for humour but there you go. To Kitching though, we've already seen headbutts and throat grabs. An inability to remain calm and having to play off adrenaline is a major disadvantage for a defender at this level. The idea is to rile up the opposition, not succumb to it yourself.
