Think he got an injury that kept him out, other than that was very good along with Jerry taggart.

 

That Notts County game was awesome , strange away section at old Meadow Lane under the floodlights.

Mates came round at 6:30pm to see if I wanted to go to game , short trip midweek away games always fun!

 

Wasnt Jonathan Bond the new Carl Tiler , had a great 1st game against Sheff Utd though we lost , then was terrible , last game was in 7-0 loss at West Brom I think

Paul Digby, after watching his progression through the academy I really thought he was a shoe in for a staring role with the reds. I also know that I wasn't the one that thought the lad was special. He was always one of the main topics of conversation amongst the people watching. Ha Ha what do i know lol.

I thought he was just standard rubbish. In fact, he plumbed a whole new depth myself, and to be fair all us did not think possible, to prove me wrong. I actually met him and he was a really nice bloke. Hope he's carved out a decent career for himself, just not in football
A special mention for Tinkler. Much hype, I kind of bought into it, given Danny's hitherto magic. Disrupted the promotion side by becoming the highest earner and actually did very little other than spending much of the game pointing at things

 

That was my thing with Jacob Mellis. He just strolled around pointing like he was some midfield general, coordinating the game by pointing out what his inferior colleagues should be doing.
Couple of moments of half decency, but generally a very lazy footballer.

I can not disagree with you Mr Perm. I suppose the lazy player is always going to occupy a special place in the spectrum of disappointment when compared to a talentless honest trier. The embodiment of which was Gary Jones. He wouldn't feature in this thread because I didn't get him wrong.
I suppose we should all add Frimpong to this list. Superb pedigree and a handful of good performances at a higher level meant we collectively expected something more than we got. A Poundshop rap artist with a chip on his shoulder more massive than sheff wednesday
I can't add Mido cos I sit in the West lower and watched with incredulity as he warmed up on Kieth Hill's silly exercise bike to come on as sub. I'm no Kate Moss but the sight of his belly made me feel genuinely sorry for the exercise bike. His brief time on the pitch represents a surreal footnote to my nearly 50 years as a red. BUT I never expected anything different

 

Yup. Anderson moved Fleming back to right back initially, as he went 442 in the first few months of the season. However, he then reverted to 352, with Fleming again playing sweeper. When Wilson took over, he kept him there. A position he stayed in, and was excellent at, until the career ending injury against Sheffield United.
