Wouldn't the fact that its been used on a Fifa game technically make it a football song? Bit like Chumbawumba on Fifa 98 RTWC.
That's like saying Nessun Dorma or Life of Riley are football songs, they weren't written for or about football, they were just used for it down the line. Surely a football song is World in Motion or Vindaloo or Three Lions, specifically written for football??
Run like hell by Pink Floyd. About 30 years ago Scotsport used it as their signature tune for their Saturday night highlights program
Tom Hark by The Piranhas. Played at every Barnsley reserve game in the 1990s. Must’ve been deliberate that the chorus line “you have to laugh or else you’d cry” would sum up how it felt for some of the players, and maybe the supporters!
Always think of Country boy by Charlatans, cos Sky used it a few times when they covered us on our promotion to the PL. And this one originally by Savage Gardens, totally not a football song
jonah louis, always reminds me of the magnet on a match day, then doing a sprint toget to oakwell before 3 pm
Agree. Brass in Pocket, Vienna and Turning Japanese always remind me of the walk to Oakwell from the Bus Station Winner Takes it All by Abba always reminds me of the drives to and from Boro for that FA Cup game.
