Ian , shouldn't you be concentrating on your glorious leaders attempts to have another referendum or would that be an own goal ? (football reference at the end for Kingtykes benefit)
It's a forum where we all support Barnsley FC to one level or another. We are also people from diverse lives and lifestyles with views on a wide range of topics. I think of the people on here as part of my wider community and as with any part of my community I like to discuss a variety of subjects and is seems they do too. If that's not the sort of forum you want to be involved in, well that's fine by me, go somewhere else. Or as suggested above, start football related threads yourself or respond only to football threads started by others. Or you can whinge about it...
Now I’m no expert, but I reckon you’d have more luck taking the club to golf and maybe using a racquet for badminton
Tut Tut Egham. This might just stir up a right hornets nest. So no comment. Tonight mate I’ll be in the pub hoping against hope that Scotland can perhaps get a result tonight but I’ll not be holding my breath. Been disappointed so many times.
A couple of years ago, I had to remove the taps from my bath so I could move the bath to access the tiles behind it to re-grout. I didn't know how to take the knobs off the taps and Google was useless so I posted a photo of the taps on here. Within 10 minutes several people had posted and there were the usual smart-arsed ones but a few folk gave me the info I needed. Best Football Forum on the planet.
yes, this forum has and does provide support for a lot of people with a wide variety of needs. It doesn't have to be just a football forum. My gripe is that some posters make very personal and offensive comments about other posters particularly on 'political' threads if those posters have an alternative 'political' view to theirs. I think a number of very good posters have dropped out because of this. No problem with shooting the message but no need to shoot the messenger!
I've found of late not half as much bitching and bickering which encourages more posters to air their views without being shot down. Ah wait for this
I know it is 15 years now since he pointed the last entry in his diary but do we need any more evidence to convince people that this forum is about more than football than to read my old mate Steve's Diary which is still available on this site?
