Even if we take Stones out of the equation, the talent we've had at centre half over the years is quite astounding for a run-of-the-mill second tier side. Futcher - surely one of the best uncapped centre halves England has ever produced. Very strange why he spent most of his career outside the top flight. De Zeeuw would surely have been a full international had he been from most other European countries. Taggart, McCarthy - no words needed. They're the very obvious ones, but there are loads of others. In no particular order: Tiler Shotton Mark Smith Steve Davis Moses Morgan Mawson Roberts Salli (would have been a great player without the injury, I'm absolutely convinced) I'm sure there must be plenty of others who I've forgotten. It's just a pity Bassett often played Tuttle, Chettle and Brown, as with a decent defence that season we'd have walked the league.
I think Anderson is great. Plays with a smile on his face. He’s even been sharing videos and pictures of his recovery, still with that same grin. He gets better every game, love the lad.
Great question and almost impossible to answer. Although I'd be leaning with Mawson/Roberts and Helik/Madds I think. Based on the below you can't separate them on my ranking so it would be about which pair you prefer.
Me too, he had me sold from his initial interview. Definitely has the right PMA after all he went through at the start of his time with us and nice to have him back using SM.
