The scene of arguably our most important result last season. I'm looking forward to tuning in to John Williams' commentary if it is at all possible. Bournemouth have started the season off well and currently occupy 6th place. At home, they've drawn both of their games 2-2 so far, with Blackpool and West Brom. They took the lead in both of those too. This is in stark contrast to last season, when they only drew 3 times at home in the league all season. We've also drawn both away games this season, to leave us on 2 defeats in 14 competitive away games. Barring a spell between 1963-1970, our record at Bournemouth has been quite mixed. With a draw being marginally the favoured result. Everything seems to point to another draw, however I'd like to think we're getting towards something of a strong side, and with the international break to work with the new players, I fancy us to nick this one. I'm going for 2-1 with Frieser and Styles on the scoresheet for the team (presumably) in green.
Coach tries new system, players struggle to adapt to quality opposition, we're outclassed all over the pitch.... Reds to win 2-0. Both Woodrow, both penalties.
A decent performance with plenty of positives but 2-1 Bournemouth. Patience is the key for the next few weeks. Can't see us really hitting our stride until November.
