    I’ve no idea who will win though. Fernandez is another up and coming youngster who has had an amazing tournament as well and just beat the #2 seed. I’d say it’s evens for both. But won’t be betting on it

    I know tennis works on ranking points but you would think which ever of these girls wins the us open to me they should be top 10.

    It's shaping up to be a belter. Sakkari clearly hadn't done her homework. Pretty sure Fernandez' coaching team will be all over her baseline position, and the importance of their first serve %
    I think Fernandez will be a completely different kettle of fish

    You dont get to be top 10 in the world on just one tournament and I dont think you should as it is I think they will both be in the top 30 which is pretty decent. I think this is Emma's 4th proper tournament so its too early to say she is in the worlds top 10 in my opinion. If she carries on playing similar tennis she soon will be though

    Yes- mentally as well she's incredible. She was getting blown away the first few games against Sabalenka and she just patiently continued game by game. It was amazing to see.
