    11 September. I couldn't let this day pass without remarking upon the events that unfolded all those years ago. Of those who were present and witnessed what happened some recoiled in horror whilst others celebrated gleefully but there is no doubt that all of those who saw would forever have the day etched in their memories. From my own perspective I regret that I was unable to see it for myself but I was only nine years old and as I grew older had to rely upon what I read and what others who were in actually in attendance told me about that day to get a feel of what it must have been like to have been there.
    Yes, it was 11 September, 1965 at Dens Park in Dundee that a Finn Dossing hat trick and further goals from Lennart Wing and Dennis Gillespie saw Dundee United record a famous 5-0 win over city rivals Dundee. Never to be forgotten and still talked about to this day.

    Eh? Whatever.
    11th of September is a date that half of Dundee celebrate and the other half despair over.
    A 5-0 win at Dens aka The Dens Park Massacre and celebrated every year by the Arabs.

    No where did I make any reference to the US event so stop stirring it.

    I don’t get it. There’s no malice in Ian’s post. He has possibly misjudged the response from a non Dundee audience, but he’s not making light of any situation.

    You're a great poster on here, Ian and the place would be worse without you. Bit of a bad call is this thread, though.

    Don't worry about it, though. Just take it on the chin and move one. We've all made bad calls from time to time...
