Why is it? He's probably injured but apart from his pass to Sibbick what's he done for us? His set pieces have been poor and he's not looked like scoring. He will get better but he's our biggest disappointment so far for me out of the new signings and if we had signed him from Accrington Stanley and not an established Premier League team I think his performances so far would be getting questioned more.

I agree with you, there is probably players on the bench better than what is starting but I think it's probably more to do with man management. Rather than just drop a player and potentially upset them, give them the chance to hold their position or not...... Then it's an easy swap and nobody can complain.

I'm all for not rushing players back from injury and easing new players in, but we seem to be over cautious.

 

So you obviously do not think he is even worth a place on the bench then which means debating the lad is pointless with you because we have entirely opposite views, one thing I will say , if a fit Benson cannot get in the match day 18 then we either have a team full of world beaters or a manager who will not be in post long .

 

I'd say the latter.

 

If he's fit he should be at least on the bench. He's been booked three times in half a dozen games so maybe Schopp thinks it's something to work on out of the firing line. We will find out later.

The quality that Bournemouth have going forward is worrying. First time passes that would be difficult for average Championship players to control never mind pass. They've just gone close again.

I think we're a bit rattled by their counter attacking threat. It looks to me like we've backed off the press a bit. A decent free kick here though...
